TAKING AN INDEPENDENT STAND TO PROTECT OUR QUALITY OF LIFE

Demand Responsible Growth – Promote aggressive enforcement of current rules and develop a new plan for shaping responsible growth in our community. Fully implement the recommendations of the Southwest Travis County Growth Dialog Panel.

Take On Our Traffic Problems, Without Tolling Existing Roads – Pursue alternative methods for funding road construction and promote development of a mass transit solution to relieve congestion. Aggressively search for ways to improve highway safety.

Protect Our Water – Fight for the enforcement and expansion of water quality standards for new development that will keep our water clean and ensure a sustainable supply for the future.

Push for a Groundwater District – Protect water availability for those whose sole source of water is well water.

Fight For Neighborhoods – Do more to protect current homes and neighborhoods from the impacts of accelerated area growth.

Fix The Broken “Grandfathering” Policy – Which currently is allowing subdivision plats to be placed on large parcels of land and “grandfathering” them from compliance with future responsible growth regulations.

Convince Developers To Do Their Fair Share – Large-scale developers in our community must share in the responsibility for the infrastructure required to service new growth, including schools, roads, and emergency services, rather than pushing the bill onto taxpayers.

Keep The Community Safe – Prioritize funding for effective countywide law enforcement, fire protection, and emergency medical services.

Deliver Good Government – Listen to constituents and be a guardian over taxpayer money to ensure the citizens of Precinct 3 are receiving the best return on their investment.
